Thank you for saying what I was feeling. The 25th was a very depressing day for me. No family gatherings, no presents, just a Skype call to the girls and that seemed to make it even worse. I felt like Charlie Brown but there was no Linus the help me.

Later that day Jo and I went for a walk ( one of Norway's great blessings) and we shared our blues with each other. I reflected on my 2 Christmas' in the military overseas and how those didn't seem to bother me as much ( probably because I was single and didn't care).

While I didn't hear angel's voices, I did know that my perspective had been changed. Father had heard my anguish and given me peace even though I hadn't specifically asked for it.

I agree with you that Merry Christmas does often seem flippant but I thank God for all those who say it.

Blessings to you and your family. Keep writing !
